Boombby is a singer, songwriter, rapper born in Orange County, California under the name Rebecca Johnson. She is currently living in Houston Texas. Boombby is proof that two truths can exist at once. She is an artist overflowing with duality. Her music is the perfect mix of strong and empowering, yet delicate and feminine. She is fun and carefree, while also being vulnerable and real. Her aesthetic is 95% pink and dreamy with visuals that are out of the box and full of creative grandeur. She is an artist with a desire to push boundaries and innovate.

She has always known she wanted to be a singer but it wasn’t until her parents divorce at the age of 10 that her abilities really started to show. At 10 she began performing in karaoke bars and writing songs. By 12 she was auditioning for tv shows and talent competitions and at 15 she was on American Idol’s top 60 after making it through audition rounds, singing the songs she wrote herself.

As she chased her dreams of being an artist, she was recognized for her, what many referred to as genius, level of songwriting at such a young age. Boombby signed a publishing deal at the age of 18 years old under the name Bekuh BOOM. She went on to write number one songs all over the world and ended up in Korea right before her 19th birthday where she lived until she was 23. While in Korea, she helped break one of the biggest girl groups in the world known as Black Pink.

After years of accomplishments as a songwriter and being kept a secret by the industry, she has decided to take her power back and has just dropped her debut album “The Prototype.” She hopes to inspire people around the world to never give up on their dreams and to be fearlessly and unapologetically themselves. Lovingly referring to her fandom as the bby’s, she wants to personally invite you to join the family and be apart of the blow up.
